Not to complain but...

Missing a week of school is killing me. I'm missing a paper, two quizzes, a group discussion, and getting put into groups for a project and that's not even including any of the lecture notes that I'll miss. Luckily, I've been able to get most of this done early, but it's been killing me. I'm really starting to think that I'm not cut out for school. Good thing I'm almost done...sort of.

Anyways, you wont hear from me until we get back. Tomorrow I work until about 9:30 ish and then we're jetting down to P-town. We'll hopefully be out of my parents house by 8 and then at the Olson residence sometime that evening. (we'll probably stop at In-N-Out at least once). I'm excited, but am still in the stress mode. I just started packing and really should be finishing a quiz instead of writing this lame, unfunny blog post.

Sorry I haven't been witty at all lately. I've got to give Josh props there. I leave him for a few hours to find that. Yep, I love that guy.

So there you have it. Please don't die while we're in Mexico. Don't have any babies and don't get married. Any other activities I approve of. I just don't want to miss any life altering events. Ok, I'm done rambling. As Conan would say, "be cool my babies."

p.s. I have a few posts I need to write. I was hoping to get them done before we leave, but that didn't happen. Be prepared for some remarkable stories and pictures soon. :)

p.p.s. Josh just brought me up a plate of bacon. Can you believe the guy I married? He's wonderful. He also did the laundry tonight. That's all it takes to keep me eternally happy. Bacon and clean clothes. If only he found some fresh cotton candy. :) What a stud.

When Brittany is gone what does Josh eat?

Hey guys, gals, and the allotted crew! This is Josh here posting to let you know what I made for a snack while Brittany was out helping her helpless friend, Amy Jane Hicken.

I made Ants on a Log! Heck yeah! This snack is one that involves washed celery (we don't want any tape worms!), peanut butter (any kind will do; however, choosy moms choose Jiff. Don't ask me why, because most kinds are almost identical.), and raisins.

The celery acts as a great natural colon cleanse while the peanut butter is a good organic source of protein. Now the raisins are a sun drenched fruit loaded with antioxidants. This is just a good wholesome snack for any kid at heart without a wife home. Now EAT before the ants walk off the log!!!

Please enjoy and join me next time on Quick Eats and Treats!
(Any one who knows me will also know that this is just a tease. Don't take me too serious. :D)

super senior?

This is my last year of legit college. By legit college, I mean being in college when I'm 'supposed to be here'. All of my friends will graduate in April, but I will be a loser and have to wait until December. Ugh. I don't want to think about it. Anyways, school starts on Monday and I have very mixed feeling about it. I hate that all the students are back. I miss the summer citizens. I didn't say goodbye to them or their Arizona plates and short old man shorts. I got the biggest snow cone on my life last night (picture to come) and realized that this is it. No more for a year. I've got to go back to listening to some professor (or grad student. yuck.) ramble about whatever and then spit it out for the test. Bleh (you can tell my enthusiasm for education. haha) I think the thing I'm least excited for is to be back on campus with thousands of people. Last semester both Josh and I had awkward experiences with members of the opposite sex. According to Josh, he was never 'trained' to look for a ring on the finger. I've found that most guys are that way. Don't get me wrong, I don't get hit on really at all, but the maybe 3 times it happened last semester, I wanted to die. The University setting is definitely catered for the single crowd.

There is a part of me that's excited. I have a class with Lacy again (yes, I will bring nutella, pretzels, and caramel apple suckers to class) and I'll be working with the adults at BRASC as well being an aid for the one and only Miss Sandra Jessica Anderson. It's going to be awesome! There's a cruise coming up, marriage of one of my best friends, and the beauty of Cache Valley in the fall. Most of all, I'm excited to be back on campus for this lovely lady. She is my favorite woman in Cache Valley, hands down.

3 days of blogging in a row? Man, I'm awesome. That or I haven't had a life since summer program ended...

Just found out...

...that Josh has a blog. Who knew? Not his wife. He's never used it though, and will be contributing (probably very, very minimally) to this blog. So get excited blogging world---JMAN is coming to town.

It happened sooner than we planned, but....

...our camera has a name!!! Yes, it's true. Josh thought of the most wonderful name for our new little guy. Elliot Oscar Schmidt. EOS usually stands for Electro-Optical System, but not for Elliot. He's wonderful. We took him to a little brasc party yesterday and he fit right in. We still don't really know all his features and by this point in our 'not having a normal camera saga', I'm just glad I have something that works! Thanks again to Josh for being so awesome to let us splurge and get it. Luckily, he appreciates the quality of the pictures thanks to his appreciation for HD's and Blu-Rays. So there you have it. All three of us are home and loving life. Here's a glimpse at our adventures from last night.

Josh's swinging time wasn't very long. Motion sicknes kicked in quick. I couldn't even get on the swing. How are we ever going to make it on a cruise?

Apparently, when I run up slides I mean business.

I'm really not looking over my kingdom here. I'm looking at two small children fighting. Nursery, anyone?

Also, as of today I've been married to this handsome guy for 8 months. Wow. 8 months, really? It's cliche, but I love Josh and am so grateful that I moved next door to him two years ago.

Over

Summer Program is over. I cried. I don't want to talk about it.

teeny little super guy.

Here's the Sesame Street video of the week. These segments will always remind me of my brother, Jason, because my mom used to sing this song as if he was the Teeny Little Super Guy.

I broke down at work today. There were a myriad of things going on in my little brain and I went into the bathroom and broke down pretty hardcore. Two sweet boys, my stinker, and his friend were quite concerned for me. Stinker patted me on the back and his friend kept asking who made me upset and if I wanted some of his candy. It was adorable and made me feel so much better. I absolutely love my job and am super sad the majority of it's ending in 2 days. Hopefully, if I still work at brasc next summer, Stinker will walk in and sumo over to me like he did this summer. If I don't, there will be some serious visitations to that building just to visit him. :)

I have a funny story about Stinker. He always loves grabbing my phone, water bottle, snack, craft, etc and holding it high above his head saying, "mine!!!" while laughing. He's my exact height, but I humor him by acting like I can't get it for a while. He finds it hilairous! Today, he grabbed my phone and started looking through my pictures. Every picture he found of Josh he'd yell, "Issss me!!!" Sorry friend, but you are not married to me. Even though you give me me 15 hugs a day, tickle my knee, want to ride in whatever vehicle I'm in (oh, and he yelled, " isss funny" when he saw a picture of the driving schedule he switched a while back), and we have a million inside jokes together, you are not my husband. However, I hope someday in Heaven, I'll still be able to call him Stinker and he'll respond in his grunting high pitched voice, "Hey! Isss you!" and then he'll call me a stinker and I'll have a regular conversation with him and his perfected mind. Yeah, that will be an awesome day.

Also, I almost ran over Hailey Willie while driving the mini bus this morning. Yes, I drive a bus that is filled to the brim with wheel chairs and autism. Sorry Willie. I hope this and my current facebook status are enough to receive your full forgiveness for your almost slaughter at the hands of me behind the wheel.

In other news, the camera has shipped! And my doubts have officially been put to rest that I do NOT need a passport for the cruise. Yippee!

p.s. have you seen today's picture on bing? It's beautiful. The picture changes every day, so if you didn't see it...too bad. I've officially broken my google addiction. Bing is so much more lovely.

This just in....

I didn't really tell anyone because I didn't think it would actually happen, but yesterday we found out that we're going on a Mexican Riviera cruise! Josh was supposed to hit a certain number of sales to get it, but he was just shy of the number this summer. However, after they purchased two non-refundable tickets...we're in...for free! We're going the first week of September which means we'll have to miss a week of school, but who cares. We're going to Mexico.

Also, remember this and this? Well after a few months of working hard and saving some pennies, along with Josh being so awesome to contribute his bonus, we're getting a Canon XS!!!!! I'm beyond thrilled!!!

Sorry for over excited, dorky post but I'm so happy. Now it's time for the Cache County Rodeo. Yeehaw!

27 years ago today...

...this happy little guy was born. I love him and can't wait to spend the ENTIRE day together! Happy Birthday, Bub. You're the greatest!

Does this take anyone else back?

So I'm on the search for the missing Muppet in my poster (I'll explain later in a future blog post) and that brought me to youtube searching old Muppet videos. I quickly got excited to see old school Sesame Street videos that brought me back to 1992. Anyone else remember these? The middle one I posted especially for miss Lacy Lynn.

3 lesser remembered classics (in my opinion) and in honor of finding these gems, I've decided to dedicate every Wednesday to old school Sesame Street videos. Why Wednesday? School starts soon and I think I'll need a little happiness in the middle of my week. Enjoy!!!

p.s. This girl just got engaged. Oh how I love her and happy endings. Can't wait for their killer wedding and beautiful babies.
