First, Second, Third

First off, Josh and I are going to California in 12 days! Yahoo!!! Keep wishing kids, because one day your dreams will come true. It happened to me, and now we're almost on our way! :) We're going with Josh's family, staying with my Grandparents, and are definitely hitting up Disneyland. Posts to come, posts to come!

Second off, Fro and I went to the Celine Dion concert. Spectacular! My camera was basically out of batteries the entire time, but Fro got a few good pics that I'll have to get from her. Anyways, here's a glimpse of Celine!
Celine had a cape

Third off, Josh and I had a temporary job working for the DTV hotline. We were supposed to work 7 days straight for 8 hours a day, but then they extended with some major over time opportunity, so we took it! We worked an extra 20 hours each which equals 40 hours of time and a half for the two of us. This means we pocketed a little over $600 that we weren't expecting. :) To celebrate the end of the job we went to Texas Roadhouse in Ogden. Josh really wanted a steak, and I wanted to get out of the valley. It was a fun, quick trip. Man I love this boy. :)

Funnest thing to do with pictures

Bored with your pictures? Go HERE (yes, I did the link thing again...) for a fun waste of time. Here's a preview of our creations...

Fun stuff!

It might happen!

There's a chance that this might happen. The Mangelsons have toyed around with the idea of a trip in the coming months. I'd totally be all over it. :) We'll see! If we can't make it this time, mark my word....we'll get there soon! :)

*By the way, I've always wondered how people make words into links. This post was first post that I figured it out. Yay me! Be prepared for other shameless endorsements from within the text. Mwahaha!

Being poor has its perks

Josh's parents and brother came up on Saturday, and we went to lunch and saw Mall Cop. It was really fun, and good to see family. One reason for their trip was to give us Josh's tax information. Josh's dad helped us figure out what the outcome of this joyous/dreadful time of the year would be and...it's joyous for us! Thanks to being poor, married college students we're able to file jointly for the year of 2008 (even though we were only married for 12 days in 2008) and so we got major tax breaks! We were worried that we would have to pay since Josh's job over the summer didn't even take out taxes, but we're actually getting quite a large sum back. Yahoo! What a blessing. So here's my advice to all you out there. Get married at the very end of the year, and enjoy being poor. It's super. :)

Accident Prone...

I'm not sure why, but lately I have been super accident prone. I've never been that way before, but this week has been awful! A few days ago I smacked my head really hard on the door leaving a big bump on my forehead (I'm just glad it didn't bruise...), and last night I sliced my thumb with a chili can. That's not counting the millions of times I've tripped going up the stairs, or stubbed my toes etc... The chili incident was by far the worst and we thought for a minute I might need stitches. I was an idiot and for some reason, as I was throwing away the can I picked it up by the barely attached lid. All of the sudden I yelled a loud, "Shooooooot!" I looked down and my thumb was already bright red. It was a deep, yucky cut. We didn't have any band-aids so until we finished our dinner and made it to the store we improvised with cotton and masking tape (yes, slightly ghetto). I should have taken pictures of the actual cut, but it was too gross for a blog. It hurt like the dickens! Today it still throbs a bit, but luckily with a little super glue (a Larry Herdman fix-all solution) and a couple of band-aids the healing process is underway. Now I just have to stop running into things....

The only thing happy about this picture is my new hair cut/color! It's a pretty good view of our homemade band-aid.

The dreaded Chili can.

One of my favorite spots in the world...

Balboa Pier. Can I please go? Here are reasons why I should go:
  1. Josh has never been.
  2. We'd stay at my Grandparent's house 20 minutes from the beach.
  3. It's been in the 80's in Orange County and even though the beach would be colder, and the water would be freezing, it's still better than 20 degrees.
  4. I've made a great road trip playlist that is longing to be put to use.
  5. We've almost watched all of the episodes of Arrested Development. It's only natural to now eat a frozen banana.
Reasons not to go?
  1. Money
  2. School
  3. Work
If it weren't for those three things, and it was up to me, we'd be there tomorrow.
