First off, I'm SO grateful for the responses I got in my last post. I really was feeling like such a loser, but it feels better to know I'm in good company. ;)
And second, all those plans to get out? Well, they were trampled on by Father Winter. Holy crap. If you live in Utah, you know that we've gotten a ridiculous amount of snow the last few days and I've avoided driving in it like the plague. Last night, I went out to dinner with some friends and as I was coming home, it started to snow for the 97th time that day. I was going 15 miles an hour on road with a 50 miles per hour speed limit and by the time I finally got into my neighborhood, I was feeling pretty good about life. I turned up our steep driveway and got maybe 6 feet up before I got stuck. I immediately called Josh because I knew I wasn't making it up. After about 8 tries, we had a couple neighbors drive by and jump out to help. 20 minutes later.... and we finally had the car in the garage. Anyway, the reason I'm relating this story is to illustrate to all you tropical climate people that you a) made the right choice and b) so I would have a solid excuse to why we've been homebodies the last few days, even though we're not sick anymore.
I hate winter.
We haven't been up to much besides being lazy, doing a little bit of
organizing/cleaning and dreaming up ways to redo my laundry room. I've
fallen in the trap of taking too many pictures with my phone and not
enough with my DSLR. I'll tell you what though, that little iPhone of
mine makes it possible to catch a lot of wondrous moments that I
otherwise would miss.
Dear Spring, please come soon. We need you.
