Warning : The following images are of babies eating excessive amounts of sugar. They are also naked. And even worse, they are watching Elmo. Yes, I'm sure you're a better mother than I am because you'd die before you let your child participate in such barbaric activities, but whatever. :)
I've never been brave enough to let the girls feed themselves with spoons. I've been too afraid of the mess. Consequently, they don't eat from spoons very often. When we first started solids, they didn't like to be spoon fed, which is why we dabbled into baby led weaning. The girls have always liked to feed themselves. Well, imagine my surprise when Josh was eating a snack pack and Sophie grabbed a spoon from off the table and started dipping into the pudding and eating it. I decided then that we should just let them try to feed themselves. I thought of the things we could put in a bowl... apple sauce, cereal, yogurt, etc, but knew that now that she had tasted pudding, that's all she would want. So, like any good mother, I got stripped the girls down, buckled them into their high chairs and handed them each a snack pack and a spoon. Here's what happened. Be prepared for a messy photobomb!
(Most of them are of Lillian because she was acting a little more hilarious about it. She's got the yellow spoon, Sophie has the green one.)
