That is my life. This is what I do.
Lately, these twins have only wanted me (well, I take that back. Sophie only wanted Josh for the first 10 minutes after her nap yesterday). Specifically my lap. After a few failed attempts of getting a picture of "my view", I had Josh take one. We're a charming group, aren't we?
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Our neighborhood have a summer kickoff
party of sorts and the girls were able to play in several kiddy pools
and even on a slip 'n slide for a bit. It was fun to get outside, be
with our neighbors and see how excited the 8,952 kids were for summer (really, that number isn't that much of an exaggeration.There are a lot of kids in our neighborhood).

I'm glad this week is over. It was one filled with really late nights, really early mornings, a pretty good amount of tears, long work hours for Josh, zero yard work being accomplished (obligatory yard posts coming soon...) and realizations reached. I rediscovered how amazing my friends are and it was reaffirmed to me that we have a strong support system. I'm grateful for that. I've been especially grateful this week. Even if some of that support was coming from a certain person who really, really shouldn't have been as nice as she was (and repeatedly nice. Day after day after day...). You know who you are. And for the trillionth time, thanks.
I love my family. I love summer and I love where I live.

And I wanted to thank everyone who's sent me encouragement these past few weeks. I've gotten several motivating comments and a couple emails from people who are similar situations with school. It feels really good to know I'm not the only one. I mean, misery loves company, right? ;) So thanks! We will get there together!
