Last Thursday, we had a play date at our house with Micah, Grey and Milo. The kids played with toys, read books, and got in a few fights before we decided to pack them up and go to the park.
Lillian and Milo were quite a pair at the park. They followed each other around most of the time and I'm fairly confident that they was more than just a friendship there...
3 adults and 5 kids under 2 1/2. Kind of insane, but we survived!
And why so few pictures of Sophie? You see that plastic thing hanging out of her mouth? Ugh. The binky is back and has been driving me nuts this past week. I just can't take pictures of her with it! Last night several more took the dive for the garbage and got cut in half. She screamed and screamed and screamed. I'm hoping that today goes more smoothly.
We love play dates especially with Brittany, Becky and their boys.
It was so fun! We love our playdates, too. That first picture of Milo is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried having Sophie throw the binky away? With Sage we cut it down to nothing and when she sucked on it we told her it was broken and to go throw it away. When she did we had a little party and gave her a new "comfort" object. When she asked for her binky that night we reminded her that it was broken and in the garbage. Of course, she cried for about 20 minutes but when we went to check on her she was snuggled up with her new comfort object.

Cute pictures! I hate taking pacifier pictures, too. :) Not that you are asking for advice, but what has worked for us it to have a "pacifiers are only for sleeping times" rule at our house. We started it with our oldest (now 4-1/2) and continued it with our 2nd (now 2, just a month younger than your girls). It works pretty well. Also, we have a "once the pacifiers are broken we are done with them" policy...we have one pacifier that is hanging on, and after that one bites the dust there will be no more. It sucks the first night or two, but after that everyone is happy. Like the commenter above me ^^^, we gave our boy a new pillow to sleep with once the pacifiers were gone and it worked really well to transition him to sleeping without a pacifier. Good luck--it's really hard dealing with that crazy attachment! :)
